What you can expect from our cakes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When the first bakery opened in our space in 1938, mass produced mixes and hydrogenated oils didn't exist. Everything was made from scratch -- from fruit fillings to butter cream frosting. The bakery re-opened in 1999, combining scratch baking with a contemporary approach to classic recipes. North Hill bakery uses the best ingredients and always bakes from scratch. The results are superior baked goods, served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. From cookies to wedding cakes, our customers count on our consistently outstanding goods and service. For best results, please order at least 5 days in advance. Personalize your cake ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fresh flowers and a simple, written message are always free of charge. Cake Paintings can feature your company logo, a personal symbol or even your child's favorite cartoon character. Painting fees start at $15 and vary with the degree of detail. Contact Margaret for a quote on your special design. Paintings must be ordered at least 4 business days in advance. Cut Out Cakes allow you to customize the shape of your cake. Match the outline of a company logo, or serve a colorful butterfly for that special occasion. There is more to cake than round or square. Prices begin with the cost of the sheet cake being cut plus a $20 decorating fee. Additional costs may apply for elaborate designs. Some shapes may result in a reduction of servings per cake compared to the serving size of the original sheet cake. Again, a minimum of 5 business days is required when ordering. For example, order Monday and enjoy your cake the following weekend. We will charge an extra $10 for orders requested on short notice. Deposit of half the price of the order is required to secure pickup. Deposit is non-refundable if canceled three or less business days before event.

Choose from the following flavors ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Carrot Cake: Moist carrot cake (no nuts) layered through and through with delicious, classic cream cheese icing. Hazelnut Praline Cake: Finely ground and toasted hazelnuts flavor this genoise torte. Layered with imported apricot preserves, smooth pastry cream, and praline buttercream. A real crowd pleaser. Lemon Chiffon: Light yet moist, it's an American classic. This one, with plenty of lemon zest and layered with freshly made lemon curd and dotted with crisp meringue, melts in your mouth. Finished with silky white buttercream. Chocolate Espresso Torte: Rich dark chocolate sour cream cake layered with espresso ganache and finished with poured ganache and a delicate filigree design. Chocolate Mousse Torte: Three thin layers of hazelnut genoise filled with chocolate mousse, finished with a shiny chocolate ganache and fresh whipped cream .... an elegant dessert. Coconut Cake: A Southern tradition, the fluffy coconut cake with boiled icing. Layers of yellow butter cake, coconut pastry cream, and soft, white boiled icing, topped with a cloud of Angel flake coconut. Grandma's Chocolate Cake: Three layers of dark, moist, chocolate cake, just like Grandma used to make. Finished with fudgy chocolate icing. Chocolate on Chocolate: Rich chocolate mousse layered with chocolate buttermilk cake and raspberry preserves, poured in shiny chocolate ganache. German Chocolate: Soft buttermilk cake layered with a rich coconut and pecan filling. Iced with chocolate buttercream. Cappuccino Cake: Alternating layers of yellow and chocolate butter cakes, filled with coffee buttercream and coffee whipped cream. This is one for you coffee lovers. Raspberry Mousse: Soft butter cake filled with raspberry preserves and raspberry cream.
